Canada rules the earth! In your face, Vienna!

The Economist just released its annual global Liveability ranking, and for the second year in a row, Vancouver British Columbia ranked numero uno as the most liveable city in the world. Vancouver’s majestic mountains and fragrant cherry blossoms and proliferation of fair trade coffee shops earned it a 98.0 on the liveability scale, edging out big Austrian losers – the Viennese – who scored a humiliating and career-ending 97.9.
Not only did Van take the top spot, but its Canadian brethren Toronto and Calgary scored 4th and 5th respectively, sealing Canada’s domination of the Liveability index for yet another trip around the sun, (and in the process, proving that Australia’s Perth is the only place in the world that is better to live in than Calgary but not as good as Toronto).
