Happy Birthday, Canada!
Just a short post on this most festive of days. It’s a holiday in the Great White North today, and I must be brief, since my beer is getting warm as I type this. When you reach 142, things change. Apparently, your sense of confidence improves dramatically, which can only help us, since our neighbours appear to be coming up the walk to ask us for a favour.
Anyhoo – it’s Canada’s birthday – another year older but still looking pretty good. As you sit back and reflect on our great country, please enjoy Big Sugar’s notorious version of our national anthem, as performed on Mike Bullard back in the day. In the spirit of the holiday, (and because of the warming beer I mentioned earlier) I will refrain from making fun of Bullard today.
