In the Great White North, we call it procrastinating. But it turns out that all that tweeting and poking can actually win you something. Canada is the hands-down world leader in social networking.
From Paul Brent at ctvottawa.ca…
Forrester Research reports that 80 percent of Canadians who are online use social media at least once a month that makes us the most active social networkers in any of the 12 nations Forrester tracks. The Americans are at 51 percent, the British at 38 percent.
Plus, according to ComScore, Canadians do twice as many searches as Americans, and Canadians spend 30% more time online than Americans. Even when we’re wasting time we’re overachievers.
